From May 2022 until the end of June 2023, a 50% increase of the lump-sum commuter allowance as well as an increase of the commuter euro applied. The purpose of this policy was to at least partially cushion the sharp rise in energy and fuel prices. This temporary arrangement has now come to an end. There is no prospect of an extension or reintroduction of the relief package.<\/p>\n
