Amendment to the Austrian Commercial Code (UGB) – Reporting requirements regarding gender balance in management bodies – from 30 June 2026

The amendment to Section 243c(2)(2a) of the Austrian Commercial Code (UGB) aims to bring Austria’s reporting requirements for listed companies regarding gender distribution in management bodies into line with the relevant directives.

From 30 June 2026, the corporate governance report must therefore not only include measures to promote women, but also progress regarding gender distribution on the board of directors.
